Summer is fast approaching and some of the centers in the NAEYC program are getting ready for a well deserved break. But even though some are taking a break from the children, we have to remember that we must always be looking to improve ourselves as teachers.
So this summer, we are encouraging professional development so that the children get our very best. The AFP project is looking at assisting participating centers with assistance for their employees to get that professional development whether that is training hours to earning a CDA or even college courses.

The sites within the NAEYC Accreditation Facilitation Project are making great strides moving forward in the Accreditation process. With St. Luke’s Children’s Center already in the Application process, we have two more programs joining them, Bear Creek Early Childhood Center in Monument and Rainbow of Friends Preschool in Fountain.
We have a new center joining our program, Wilson Christian Preschool. We are very excited as they move forward to become nationally accredited.
