Grow a Reader

Pikes Peak Library District has a new service for home child care providers called “Grow a Reader.” The themed literacy kits each feature five books, a detailed activity booklet, and most of the supplies and learning toys necessary for the activity. They are available for checkout to home child care providers for three weeks. Each child care provider is required to attend a free Every Child Ready to Read class before they are eligible to check out a kit. The next classes are scheduled for:

• Feb. 19, 2011 2:00-3:30 East Library, 531-6333, ext. 1403

One hour of continuing education credit will be offered. Registration required - call the Fountain Library at 382-5347 or the East Library at 531-6333, ext.1403.
