San Diego, National Based Inclusion Center, Kids Included Together, will be providing this once in a lifetime training opportunity. The three workshops that will be presented are:

Facing Your Fear Factor
Including children with disabilities in child and youth development programs can be very challenging, but nothing is more rewarding than witnessing a child make a friend, enjoy a game or experience an accomplishment. This highly-interactive workshop will allow participants to face the fears involved in inclusion (I wasn't trained for this! I don't know what to do! I don't know anything about that disability!) through activities designed to promote an understanding of inclusion and how to support children with disabilities.

Behavior Support Techniques
Throughout this session, participants will learn strategies for addressing challenging behavior. Guidelines for responding to behavior will be presented. Participants will discuss how to identify influences on behavior,

Examining the Physical and Sensory Environment
This workshop focuses on aspects related to the physical and sensory environment in out-of-school time and early childhood programs. Participants will have a chance to view different environments, discover environmental influences on behavior, and gain strategies for designing a supportive environment. Ideas for how to make environmental accommodations for children with and without disabilities will be presented.
